To
Define self defense and separate it from murder or other crimes
The people of DemocracyCraft, through their elected Representatives in the Congress and the force of law ordained to that Congress by the people through the constitution, do hereby enact the following provisions into law:
1 - Short Title and Enactment
(1) This Act may be cited as the “Self Defense Act”.
(2) This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its signage.
(3) The Act has been co-sponsored by: Rep. flightcode
2 - Reasons
(1) Self defense isn’t legally defined and as it stands, self defense could be seen as murder or other form of crime.
(2) This will clear up any confusion and prevent legal incidents in which self defense is involved.
3 - Definition
(1) Self Defense-
a. A reasonable and proportionate defensive response to an imminent threat where a criminal action against the individual or property has been directly made.
4 - Protection
(1) Self defense is hereby protected by law and will not be considered a crime.
