Amend the Taxation Act​

The people of the Commonwealth of Redmont, through their elected Representatives in the Congress and the force of law ordained to that Congress by the people through the constitution, do hereby enact the following provisions into law:

1 - Short Title and Enactment
(1) This Act may be cited as the 'Pruning Bounty Act'.

(2) This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its signage.

(3) This Act has been authored by ToadKing.

2 - Reasons
(1) To incentivise citizens to assist the government in identifying inactive accounts subject to pruning, and ensure more inactive balances are returned to the government for redistribution to active citizens

3 - Amendment
(1) The Taxation Act shall be amended as follows:

"12 - Pruning Tax

(1) All players who have been inactive for at least 3 consecutive months will have the entirety of their personal balance, as well as any owned sole proprietorship balances, transferred to the DCGovernment balance.

(i) Sole proprietorships owned by players eligible for pruning may be disbanded without notification.

(2) Upon request, the total of personal funds, excluding taxes, shall be returned to the citizen if they become active once again. shall be returned to the citizen if they become active once again, subject to the provisions in Section 12(3) and Section 12(4).

(a) The Federal Reserve Bank DCGovernment shall be responsible for repaying the citizen these funds.

(3) Pruning Taxation will incur a 10% tax on any returned funds.

(3) Pruning Bounty Reward:

(a) Any citizen may report an inactive account to the Department of Commerce for pruning review.

(b) If the Department of Commerce verifies that the reported account meets the pruning criteria under Section 12(1) and successfully prunes the account, the reporting citizen shall receive a bounty reward equal to 20% of the pruned balance, including sole proprietorship balances.

(c) The bounty reward shall be paid from the pruned balance prior to the remaining funds being transferred to the DCGovernment account.

(d) The Department of Commerce shall maintain records of all bounty claims and payments for audit purposes.

(4) Return of Pruned Funds:

(a) Returning citizens shall be entitled to receive 90% of their available pruned balance, and a 10% tax shall be retained by the Government."
