BILL
To

Amend the Constitution and prevent tyranny within the nation

The people of Democracy Craft, through their elected Representatives in the Congress and the force of law ordained to that Congress by the people through the constitution, do hereby enact the following provisions into law:

1 - Short Title and Enactment

(1) This Act may be cited as the “Pardon Removal Act”.

(2) This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its signage.

(3) This Act was authored by Representative pugbandit.

(4) This Act has been co-sponsored by Representative 1950Minecrafter and ReinausPrinzzip

2 - Reason

(1) Presidential Pardons have no place in a country with an established and fair legal system that is non-partisan.

(2) If some people have been wrongfully charged- the court system may facilitate a fair process in which such problems can be solved- the President does not need to be involved.

(3) Pardons can be easily abused and in a fair society, all should be treated equally not based on proximity to the President.

(4) We do not have to copy real-life systems all the time.

3 – Terms

(1) Presidential Pardons will be abolished.

(2) The following sections of the Constitution shall be removed:
i) The following under Section III: Powers of the President shall be rescinded:
Grant reprieves and pardons to citizens charged with breaking the law, with the exception of impeachment.
ii) The following under section VII of the Constitution shall be rescinded:
Presidential Pardons
A lawful order to overturn a criminal charge, providing clemency on a charge to an accused player. Any exercise of pardon power shall be issued only in the form of a signed document released to the public.
