To
Amend the Constitution
The people of Democracy Craft, through their elected Representatives in the Congress and the force of law ordained to that Congress by the people through the constitution, do hereby enact the following provisions into law:
1 - Short Title and Enactment
(1) This Act may be cited as the “Like in the Movies amendment”.
(2) This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its assent and passing as Referendum
(3) This act is authored by Speaker of the House Intercepticon
2 - Reason
The most people know the 5th amendment to be "the right to not self-incriminate", however it's different here and I seek to change that, so people are aware and up to speed on their rights.
3 - Amendment
The Fourth amendment under the Constitution of the Commonwealth of Redmont will be swapped with the 5th.
Old:
IV. No citizen is to be made to produce self-incriminating evidence in a court of law.
V. All accused are entitled to appeal a charge made against them by the state.
New:
IV. All accused are entitled to appeal a charge made against them by the state.
V. No citizen is to be made to produce self-incriminating evidence in a court of law.
