Amend the Legislative Standards Act

The people of Democracy Craft, through their elected Representatives in the Congress and the force of law ordained to that Congress by the people through the constitution, do hereby enact the following provisions into law:

1 - Short Title and Enactment
(1) This Act may be cited as the “Legislative Standards Amendment Act”.
(2) This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its signage.
(3) The Act has been co-sponsored by: Representative Pugbandit
(4) The Act has been penned by Representative Aladeen21

2 - Reasons
There isn't an established process for Chairman elections on Congress Committees.

3 - Chairman Elections
(5) Chairman Elections for a Committee

Once a Committee has been established, the Speaker of the house must start an election where anyone on the committee can participate. The election must start when everyone is ready and it must conclude once every single member of the committee has voted.

Veto

This bill has been vetoed for the following reasons:
- Although I agree with the concept whole heartedly, in theory, if I were to sign this bill it could be used to filibuster a vote.
- Again, there is no time limit on the bill - the motion never expires, the vote could last forever.
