Define being Dead and Revived

The people of Democracy Craft, through their elected Representatives in the Congress and the force of law ordained to that Congress by the people through the constitution, do hereby enact the following provisions into law:

1 - Short Title and Enactment
(1) This Act may be cited as the “Joe’s Legally Dead Act”.
(2) This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its signage.
(3) This Act has been co-authored by Attorney General JoeGamer2120.
(4) The Act has been co-sponsored by Senator GoldBlooded and Representative FracturedGhast7.

2 - Reasons
(1) When people leave Redmont and declare themselves dead, there needs to be a definition of “dead” to prevent confusion.
(2) Prevent confusion between people who are going on hiatus and people who are never returning

3 - Definition
(1) Dead shall be defined as leaving with the intent of never returning to Redmont, or a player who has gone inactive for 60 days or more.
(2) Dead players lose all ownership of everything in their possession including but not limited to estate, company, items, and money.
  1. In the case of a will, possession will be dealt out in accordance with the procedures outlined outside of this Act.
(3) Revived Player shall be defined as rejoining Redmont after being pronounced dead. A person is considered “revived” until the person has gained an additional 48 hours of playtime.

4 -Limitations of a Revived Player
(1) A revived player cannot hold the position of Principal Officers and General Advisors.
(2) A revived player cannot hold the position of Secretary or Deputy Secretary of any Government Department.
(3) A revived player may not hold the position of Clerk, Draftsman, or Press Assistant within the office of the Presiding Officer
(4) A revived player may not hold the position of Magistrate, Judge, or Justice.

5 - Conflicts
(1) All laws in conflict with this legislation are hereby declared null and void.

Veto

This bill has been vetoed for the following reasons:
- I believe this bill violates the constitutional right to run for office.
- I see no reason why a "revived" player couldn't be in the Office of the Presiding Officers, such employees should remain at the discretion of the Presiding Officers.
