BILL
To

Direct the Department of Education & Commerce (DEC) to form new initiatives promoting economic growth

The people of DemocracyCraft, through their elected Representatives in the Congress and the force of law ordained to that Congress by the people through the constitution, do hereby enact the following provisions into law:

1 - Short Title and Enactment
(1) This Act may be cited as the “Economic Growth Act”.
(2) This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its signage.
(3) The Act has been co-sponsored by: Rep. KaelynCream

2 - Reasons
(1) There are many industries which aren’t getting enough attention, but this legislation would incentivize them.
(2) With a surplus in the treasury, giving that money back to the community would help in battling deflation.

3 - Definitions
(1) Subsidy-
a. A sum of money granted by the government to assist businesses of a particular industry (ex: $10,000 grant to new automobile businesses).

4 - Terms
(1) The DEC shall be instructed to perform a thorough investigation on which industries are most and least prominent, based on current registered and active businesses.
(2) Based on their findings, a new subsidy program shall be formed in order to incentivize and target growth of specific sectors of the economy, made at the discretion of the DEC Secretary and President.
(3) The DEC shall be allocated $50,000 for this program for the month of November.

5 - Findings
(1) Any and all findings and reports of this investigation are to be given to Congress (in #congress-cabinet) until the investigation is concluded by the secretary.
