The people of the Commonwealth of Redmont, through their elected Representatives in the Congress and the force of law ordained to that Congress by the people through the constitution, do hereby enact the following provisions into law:
1 - Short Title and Enactment
(1) This Act may be cited as the “Cool DEC Casino Investigation Act"
(2) This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its signage.
(3) This bill was authored by Representative A__C.
(4) This Act is co-sponsored by Southray_.
2 - Reasons
(1) There is no way for the DEC to get a warrant to investigate whether or not a casino has displayed false odds because warrants require probable cause.
(2) False Odds for casinos falls under Gambling Fraud which is enforced by the DEC (under the White-Collar Crack Down Act).
3 - Terms
(1) Allows the DEC to investigate the odds of any casino with displayed odds. This can be “displayed” with a sign in the casino, or if it is said or advertised anywhere by the casino owner or an associated advertiser. This investigation can be done without a warrant and can be enacted at any time by DEC employees with the relevant authority (leadership or associated group in the department).
