Set Official Guidelines for Bill Polls and Amend the LSA

The people of Democracy Craft, through their elected Representatives in the Congress and the force of law ordained to that Congress by the people through the constitution, do hereby enact the following provisions into law:

1 - Short Title and Enactment
(1) This Act may be cited as the "Congressional Poll Guidelines Act".
(2) This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its signage.
(3) This Act was authored by Speaker of the House 218218Consumer.
(4) This Act has been co-sponsored by Senator GoldBlooded.

2 - Reason
Setting clear standards for Congressional polls.

3 - Amendment
(1) The following shall be changed from subsection a to subsection b under the Legislative Standards Act:

a. “(2) When debate is finished in the House of Representatives, the Presiding Officer will add a poll to the bill for a 48 hour voting period. The prefix will be changed to Bill: Voting.

b. “(2) When debate is finished in the House of Representatives, the Presiding Officer will change the prefix to Bill: Vote and add a poll with the following requirements:
  1. Voters shall not be allowed to change their votes.
  2. Votes must be displayed publicly.
  3. Results shall be viewable without voting.
  4. Polls shall be open for 48 hours.

(2) The following shall be changed from subsection a to subsection b:

a. “(4) When debate is finished in the Senate, the Presiding Officer will re-open the poll for 48 hours. The prefix will be changed to Bill: Voting.

b. “(2) When debate is finished in the Senate, the Presiding Officer will change the prefix to Bill: Vote and re-open the poll with the following requirements:
  1. Voters shall not be allowed to change their votes.
  2. Votes must be displayed publicly.
  3. Results shall be viewable without voting.
  4. Polls shall be open for another 48 hours.
