Constitution Of Willow
Article I – The Executive
The Executive of Willow shall consist of the Mayor and any departments which might be created through the legislative process. The Mayor shall have the power to veto any bill passed by the Town Council. The Mayor shall have the power to appoint and stand down any of the four Advisors in the Town Council.
Article II – The Legislature
The Legislature of Willow shall consist of a single unicameral Town Council which shall consist of the Mayor and three Advisors, each representing Residential, Commerce, and Industrial topics. Each of the Advisors shall serve for a four-month term, for as many terms as they wish. The Mayor can grant extra terms to each Advisor in four-month increments. The Town Council shall have the power to author, propose, and pass laws of any topic through a majority of its members. Laws passed by the Town Council may not conflict with laws passed by the Federal Government of The Commonwealth of Redmont. Any law seeking to modify this constitution must receive unanimous consent from the Town Council.
Article III – Relationship to Redmont
All laws passed by the Federal Government of the Commonwealth of Redmont are to be binding and enforceable within the bounds of Willow.
Article IV – Amendments to this Constitution
Any bill which seeks to modify this Constitution must receive unanimous consent from the Town Council.
Article V – Filling of Vacant Positions and Ban on Elections
All vacant positions are to be filled via appointment by the Mayor as per Article I of this Constitution. Anyone that wishes to be appointed as an Advisor may declare their Expression of Interest on Discord. Elections are suspended indefinitely unless this clause is removed via an amendment to this Constitution.
Rules
Residential Plots
- All homes are pre-built. DO NOT change the outside or break any blocks that were previously there. Modifications are permitted in the interior so long as the tenant restores it to its original state at the end of the lease.
- No chest shops are allowed on residential plots.
Commercial Plots
- All commercial plots are pre-built. DO NOT change the outside or break any blocks that were previously there. Modifications are permitted in the interior so long as the tenant restores it to its original state at the end of the lease.
- A chest shop may be added but breaking the exterior or any blocks already placed can result in eviction without refund.
- Only commercial plots may have chest shops.
- A player may own a maximum of two (2) market stalls.
- All commerce must be related to agriculture. Exceptions may only be made with the expressed written consent of the town government.
Farm Plots
- Only approved crops may be grown in Willow. These include and ARE limited to:
- Wheat
- Beetroot
- Carrot
- Potato
- Pumpkin
- Melon
- Cocoa Bean
- Sugar cane
- Marijuana
- Tenants may not grow any other drugs and associated crops in Willow.
- The exterior may only be altered to grow crops. DO NOT change the aesthetic or break any blocks that were previously there. Modifications are permitted underground so long as the tenant restores it to its original state at the end of the lease.
- In accordance with server rules, automatic farms are strictly prohibited.
- Tree farms (except those growing Cocoa Beans) are strictly prohibited.
Wild Area
- The government of Willow cannot legally enforce the area around the town. However, we ask that you please respect the area around the town and do not touch the area within a 50 block radius just as it is with the warps. We ask this so the area around can uphold the natural aesthetic we aim to achieve.
General Rules
- Gambling is not permitted in Willow.
- Under the executive order passed by former president xEndeavor, all buildings in towns must be no higher than 30 blocks tall.
- All rules and Laws established by the government of Redmont and DemocracyCraft as a whole apply to Willow as well. It will NOT treated as a wild region
